Basic Chocolate Sponge Cake

CHOCOLATE SPONGE CAKE
Ingredients:
For cake:
all purpose flour(maida)-1cup
cocoa powder-3 tbl spn
Butter-100g
powdered sugar-1 cup
eggs-4
vanilla essence-1 tspn
baking powder-1 tspn
baking soda-1 tspn
For Icing
Whipping powder-1 cup
Cold milk-hlf cup
Vanilla essence-1 tspn
Cherries
Chocolate bar-1 grated(refrigerate after greated)
Preparation Method
Sieve together maida,cocoa powder,baking powder and baking soda.
Beat the eggs in a bowl using a hand blender until it becomes very creamy.add butter.beat well.add sugar and vanilla essence.again beat well.
Combine all ingredients and mix everything nicely with a spatula until get a smooth batter.
Pour the cake batter into a pan or cooker(without pressure)greased with butter or ghee.switch on the stove and allow to cook for about half an hour.check if the cake is done by inserting a tooth pick in the middle of the cake.it should come out clean.switch off the stove and allow to cool the cake.
Beat the whipping cream with cold milk and vanilla essence.apply the cake.put grated chocolate on the top and sides of the cake.put cherries to decorate.delicious chocolate cake is ready..
